💼 The brief
The existing website was created using the one.com website builder many years ago.
The club wanted a revised website that –
a) better represented the club
b) was more modern
c) worked better on mobile
d) was easier to update and maintain
It was important to the club that we reflected the whole club – from the under 6’s to the main men’s team whilst giving the disability section equal waiting.
🎨 The design
The club has a very strong identity, club colours and an enormous library of photos. And we wanted to develop a website that brought all that together in a visually engaging way.
Our design centred on the yellow and black colours of the club which was supported by a new slogan: Show Your Colours. We embraced the Tigers name with a slogan of ‘Roaring across North Kent’ to emphasise their role in the North Kent community.
We crafted the site using WordPress as it is a trusted and world-leading Content Management System which we added customised plugins to provide the tools that the club needs.
The driving focus was on creating an easy to navigate website were every member felt included and represented. That’s why our navigation menu captured all the different teams in the club with photos that also captured an array of different players, coaches and other club members.
Alongside the site, we crafted an online membership form using JotForm which can be tailored as the club grows, flexis and changes. With controlled access to the data captured in the form, we empowered the different managers to have the relevant information about their players whilst ensuring GDPR compliance.
